The printing technology has progressed for hundreds years and is now more precise as it has been applied not only to the printing of daily newspapers, magazines, etc. but also to OA printing, industrial printing, and in the advertisement sector. In addition, the peripheral technology that enables printing of various boards has also develop rapidly.
This printing technology is accepted as an appropriate technology for improving competitiveness through innovative technology development in the current electronic sector. A new concept called 'Printed Electronics' was generated, and various efforts are being made to apply this technology to electronic components and circuit generation.
Printed electronics technology are equipped with various advantages including low-price, environment - friendly quality, flexibility, large area, mass production, low temperature, simple process, etc. The electronic components market for printing based on nano technology is expected to be utilized in a new product group including RFID, memory, display, battery, lighting, sensor, organic transistor, etc.
Through Printed Electronics Tech & Industry Expo, which is to be held for the first time in Korea, we expect to make a stepping stone for constructing the cooperative network among businesses and promoting the domestic printed electronics industry. Based on this as a starting point, we expect that the printed electronics industry can play a key role in future Korean economic growth and development. |
